High Green B moved into fourth place in Division Five thanks to an outstanding performance by John Daniels, which included a hat trick and a doubles win in partnership with Phil Powell. Daniels was made to work for his maximum beating Oliver Coe 11-6 in the fifth end and Phil Nunn 14-12 in the decider. The doubles also was a cliffhanger, which finished 15-13 in the fifth game. The hosts, second placed Abbeydale G managed four points with a Danny Lea brace and solitary wins from Nunn and Coe.
Nigel Coward took a Division Four maximum for Wadsley Bridge H who occupy one of the relegation positions. Accompanied by son Will and Sean Lawson the visitors overcame High Green A by seven sets to three. Mel Rowbottom did the most damage for High Green as he finished on a brace and shared in a doubles win with Nick Hill.
